Both clubs need to bounce back from FA Cup exits at the weekend. Everton are 16th in the Premier League and host top-of-the-table Liverpool. Can the Toffees continue their recent improved league form? Read our match prediction.
Everton have won their last three league games to move nine points above the relegation zone. The fear of them beginning life in their new stadium as a Championship team seems to be receding since the return of David Moyes as coach.
This will be the last Merseyside derby played at Goodison Park. It's a vital match for the Reds as this is their game in hand and a win will see them go nine points clear of second-placed Arsenal. The weekend saw them lose at Championship side Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup but an almost totally changed side will take the field for this game. One last win at Goodison is their target on Wednesday.

Everton - Liverpool: Form Analysis
Everton have won six league games this season and half have come in their last three matches. The return of David Moyes as coach has seen them win three successive Premier League games with eight goals scored.
Their good run ended at the weekend with a 2-0 home loss to Bournemouth in the FA Cup fourth round. The Toffees beat Liverpool 2-0 at home last season and would love to repeat that result and see the gap between them and the bottom three widen to 12 points.
Liverpool are yet to lose an away Premier League game.
Liverpool made ten changes for the FA Cup game against Plymouth on Sunday and lost 1-0. The big guns will be back for this match as Liverpool bid to win an 18th league game of the season. They have 30 points more than their opponents and have won nine of their 12 away league fixtures. The league leaders remain the only team yet to lose an away Premier League game this season.

Everton & Liverpool Squad Analysis
Everton will be looking for more goals from Beto who scored twice in their recent home win over Leicester City. They did field a strong line-up for their weekend FA Cup game against Bournemouth so there won't be too many changes.
Vitali Mykolenko has a calf strain and that kept him out of the side on Saturday. He could well make his return for this match. Jack Harrison put in a good performance as a sub on Saturday and may start this game.
Still out injured are Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Dwight O'Neil, Youssef Chermitii, Orel Mangala and Armando Broja.
All-change for the Reds.
Liverpool beat Tottenham 4-0 at home in the Carabao Cup last Thursday. They then changed every single outfield player for the FA Cup tie at Plymouth and lost 1-0. Players such Cody Gakpo and Mo Salah didn't even travel with the team.
No doubt their top players will all be back for this Premier League game at Everton. However, it looks as if Alexander Trent-Arnold and Joe Gomez will both be missing this match. That means at right-back will be Conor Bradley

Our Everton vs Liverpool Prediction
Liverpool can go nine points clear if winning this final Goodison Park Merseyside derby. They are yet to lose an away league game this season with four of the last five being won. The weekend loss at Plymouth was disappointing but ten outfield changes were made by Slot.
Everton also lost in the FA Cup fourth round with Bournemouth beating them at Goodison Park. Their league form has improved in recent weeks and their relegation fears have diminished. This is tough though and our main Everton v Liverpool prediction is Half Time: Liverpool, Full Time: Liverpool.
