Fierce rivals Everton Women and Liverpool Women renew their rivalry for the third time this season in what is an important game for both teams. Everton's ladies have struggled to score goals in this campaign with their 14 goals in 16 WSL games the lowest amount of any of the 12 teams in the division, in which they lie 9th. Defensively, they have been pretty solid, conceding just 29 goals this season, the fewest of any team in the bottom six, but that lack of goals has seen them lose seven of their last nine games, including all of their last three games, two of which have been at home. The Toffees have suffered some heavy defeats at home, 5-0 to Man Utd, 4-1 to Man City and 3-0 to Chelsea, but those games have tended to be the exception rather than the rule for Everton women's games this season.

Liverpool's women team have enjoyed arguably their best season in the WSL for many a year. They currently lie 5th in the table, level on points with Manchester United (28) but with a far inferior goal difference (+4 compared to +15 for United). On a positive note, the Reds have won their last three games in the league and are unbeaten in their last four. Like most teams in this division, they have found it tough against the top three sides, but did surprise many with an opening day victory away to Arsenal. They've played their city rivals twice this season, losing 1-0 in the league game at Anfield, but gaining revenge in the WSL Group Stages with a 2-1 win at Walton Hall Park in December. Liverpool women are also in good goalscoring form in the league, scoring eight goals in their last three WSL Games, two of which came away from home.
