Everton and Leicester City are coming from comfortable wins in the FA Cup and now focus shifts to the Premier League. The two face off at Goodison Park with hosts Everton placed sixth in the standings with 32 points and Leicester third with 38 points. Everton registered their third straight win after beating Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 in the fourth round of the FA Cup. It was also their seventh win in 10 matches, and Everton have failed to score in just two of the 10. They will be happy to have Dominic Calvert-Lewin back on the score sheet, ending an eight-game goal drought. He opened the scoring in the FA Cup win and with Everton starting a run of three straight home matches, they hope he can hit top form again. In the Premier League, Everton have five wins in six matches, and have failed to score in one while keeping three clean sheets. Some improvement is needed at home though, with the team having lost three of the last five league matches at home.

Leicester City are also coming from a good win in the FA Cup, a 3-1 victory away to Brentford. They are now unbeaten in eight matches, with six wins therein, and have only lost once in the last 12 matches. Leicester have six clean sheets in their last 12 matches and have scored two or more goals in eight of their last 10 games. They will go to this game without top forward Jamie Vardy who is set for a hernia operation. However, James Maddison has hit top form and the Foxes shouldn’t be worried at all. Maddison has scored in four of the last five matches. This game comes when Leicester are unbeaten in six league games and have won each of the last three. The Foxes lost 2-0 to Everton in December and with a four match unbeaten run away in the league, they will be seeking an extension here. Leicester City have seven wins in the last nine away league matches.
