Everton vs Crystal Palace Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by James | in Premier League Prediction
The early Premier League Saturday kick-off sees Everton take on Crystal Palace at Goodison Park. The Toffees will be surging with confidence after staging a superb comeback at Watford last weekend. They went two goals down before a Yerry Mina double put them on level terms. A red card for Fabian Delph could have swung momentum the other way; instead, Everton completed the turnaround when Theo Walcott finished off a counter-attack from an acute angle. It was the kind of stirring performance that makes fans optimistic about the Carlo Ancelotti era. While the Italian hasn't had everything his own way since arriving, he has only lost one of his seven Premier League matches in charge. Ninth in the table, Everton could yet stage a Champions League tilt.
Palace are three points further back in 14th place. Roy Hodgson will be concerned about how badly results have been in recent weeks. The Eagles are bottom of the form table after taking four points from a possible eighteen. Individual errors aren't helping matters; Vicente Guaita dropped the ball over the line to gift Sheffield United victory last weekend. It hardly matters that Palace had more chances, the quality of their finishing scuppering hopes of a result. Creating chances is difficult for Palace, who are still heavily reliant on the mercurial talents of Wilfried Zaha. Often, when openings are forged, attackers cannot complete the move. Palace will start with a defensive formation and look to score on the break or from a set-piece. We see it being a low-scoring match. Four of the last six encounters between these teams have featured two goals or less. Back under 2.5 goals.

Our Everton vs Crystal Palace Prediction
Under Carlo Ancelotti, Everton looks as though they're building a team for the future. Results don't always go their way but it's not hard to see a core group of players who can drag the Toffees forward. Palace don't have the same kind of momentum. They are hurtling towards the relegation zone and need results to ensure their Premier League survival. Taking points away from Goodison Park is a tough task that will only be accomplished by keeping the score down. That's why we think there will be under 2.5 goals.
