Everton are 11th in the Premier League going into the ninth set of fixtures with 12 points from eight games. They'd probably have expected to have a few more points after spending so much during the summer but are still only six points off the top four. They have been rather inconsistent but that's improving with wins in their last two games. They beat Fulham at home and then won away at Leicester which will please their fans as Everton aren't always that impressive on the road. Home form this season has seen Everton win two, draw one and lose to West Ham. Their form against Crystal Palace is good with no defeats in the last seven.

Crystal Palace had a disastrous start to last season and although doing much better than last time around, they still aren't doing well this season. They are 14th in the table four points above the bottom three. Goals are a problem for them this season with only five in eight matches and they still haven't scored a home league goal. Not since the opening day of the season have they scored twice in a league match and Christian Benteke is out injured for the foreseeable future. They have a tough set of fixtures coming up, beginning with this trip to Goodison and followed by games against Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United. So much depends on how well Zaha plays for them but he hasn't scored since the middle of September. They have won two and lost two on their away league travels this season with the wins coming at Fulham and Huddersfield. This is a lot tougher and Everton can get the home win.
