A few weeks ago Everton were in the bottom three and without a manager. Now it's a completely different story and the win over Swansea on Monday evening saw them go  up to ninth in the table,10 points clear of the bottom three and only nine points away from the Champions League places. They face arguably their toughest task since the arrival of Sam Allardyce when they host third-placed Chelsea.  Everton are unbeaten in their last six league and cup games scoring 14 goals and conceding just twice. At home, Everton have won their last four league games and after all those complaints about the lack of a goal scorer, there are only two English players who have scored more Premier League goals than the returning.Wayne Rooney. Following this game they have trips to West Brom and Bournemouth so it could be a decent Christmas for them with the prospect of an interesting January transfer window. Chelsea had to rely on an injury-time goal to get through to the Caraboa Cup semi-finals in midweek and have only lost one of their last 11 league and cup matches, that being the 1-0 loss at West Ham earlier this month. Their title chances are minimal so their main task is to finish in the top four and possibly win a cup competition. They have only lost two away league games this season with just that loss to the Hammers in the last five. This is a hard one to predict and will tell us a great deal about just how much progress Everton are making. A bet on over 2.5 goals looks the one to go for.
