Everton vs Burnley Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Nella Wagah | in Premier League Prediction
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti admitted after his team’s loss to Chelsea that the Blues were a better team. As he leads his charges at home against Burnley, he will definitely be targeting a win, having already stated his wish to see the team play in the Champions League next season. Everton are sixth with 46 points, while Burnley are 15th in the standings with 30 points. Ahead of this game, Everton have a game in hand and just four points below the fourth placed Chelsea so the Champions League mission is within reach. The defeat to Chelsea ended a three – game winning run but Everton still have the quality to restart another. Striker Richarlison is in red hot form, having scored four times in the last five matches and the Toffees have failed to score in just three of the last 10 league matches. To reach the set targets, Ancelotti’s side will need to improve a lot on their home form; they’ve garnered more points away than at home, which should be a concern. In their 13 home league matches, the Toffees have won just five and in their last six, they have one win and four losses. Out of a possible 39 points at home, Everton have managed to secure just 17.
Burnley go to this game lucky to have secured a point from their last fixture, against Arsenal. They scored a fortuitous goal and had a potential penalty blatantly ignored by both the center referee and VAR. The Clarets are still not safe from relegation, as they’re currently only four points above the drop zone. Sean Dyche’s side has managed just one win in the last 10 matches and they aren’t also big in attack, scoring more than a goal in just one of the last 10 matches. Their low scoring trend and defensive tactics have forced most of their matches to end in few goals. Eight of their last 10 matches, across all competitions have ended in under 2.5 goals. The team goes to this game winless in the last five league matches, with just one clean sheet in the process and they’ve failed to score in two. With just three wins in 13 away league games this season, the odds will be stacked against Burnley. That will further be enhanced by the fact that they’ve failed to score in eight of the last 11 away matches in the league.

Our Everton vs Burnley Prediction
Everton haven’t had a very good run at home, and they meet a Burnley side with a not-so-impressive run away from home. Both sides seek to bounce back after dropping points in their last outings but Everton will be more favored by recent form. Burnley can be hard to break though, with their style of defending and closing down spaces. With that, and the teams’ home and away performances, go for a draw in this game.
