Everton vs Burnley Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Everton will be hoping to continue with their good start to the season when action returns after the international break. They will be hosting struggling Burnley as the Premier League goes into Round 4. From their opening three matches, sixth placed Everton have managed seven points while Burnley have one point, and in 16th place. In their four opening matches, one a League Cup game, Everton have managed to score at least two goals. Their scoring form is great and the fact that Richarlison isn’t barred by the Brazilian federation for the weekend gives Rafa Benitez joy. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored in all three league matches and his availability is a further boost for the Toffees attack. Three of their four matches this season have produced over 2.5 goals, and they’ve only failed to score in three of their last 10 league matches. At home, Everton struggled in the league last season but they have something to build on, going to this game with two straight wins. They’ve scored in eight of nine league matches at home and five of them have produced over 2.5 goals.

Burnley on the other hand, are still in search of their opening win of the season. Four games in, the closest they’ve gone to victory was in penalty shootouts against Newcastle United in the League Cup after a 0-0 draw at full time. They’ve actually failed to score in two of the last three matches, and have no win in six straight league matches, while failing to score in four of them. In 10 league matches, Burnley have two clean sheets and they’ve conceded two or more in six of the 10. They are coming from a 1-1 draw with Leeds United and will hope to do better here, though in their last two away league matches, they failed to score. In their last 10 away league matches, Burnley have lost six. In the corresponding fixture last season, Burnley beat Everton 2-1, with Richarlison scoring the Everton goal. Calvert-Lewin has scored in each of the last three matches against Burnley.
