Everton's season continues to be a major struggle after a home defeat by Lyon on Thursday evening. That left them bottom of their Europa League group and they are 16th in the Premier League going into the weekend. Another defeat could spell the end of Ronald Koeman as manager of Everton after a run of four games without a win. They have only won two Premier League games so far, both at home but their leaky defence and lack of a striker makes them hard to back. Arsenal reserves did well on Thursday winning 1-0 at Red Star Belgrade but although they have won two away games in the Europa League, the first team is yet to win away in the Premier League losing last week at Watford.  They are nine points behind leaders Manchester City, virtually ten because of their massively inferior goal difference and that should be added by another three points before this game begins. Their title challenge already looks over but sixth placed Arsenal are only two points away from a return to the Champions League so an end of season lap of honour isn't too far away. Arsenal have only managed one point and one goal in four away league games but their top players will be well rested and they don't come up against this Everton defence every week.
