England go into this friendly on an unbeaten run of eight games but despite the victories they often struggle to put on an impressive performance with the last six games all having under 2.5 goals scored in them, hence the lack of optimism for the upcoming World Cup. They have kept five clean sheets in their last six matches which is strange considering there have been major questions over who is going to be their number one goalie, though that's a battle that Jordan Pickford seems to be winning. For once England don't have any major injury problems and Gareth Southgate can choose the team he wants to. The squad is a youthful one but still has a decent bit of experience and England are unbeate in their last 12 home matches.

They take on a Nigerian side that have reached all but one of the last seven World Cup finals and reached the last sixteen in 2014. Nigeria topped their qualifying group and last year beat Argentina but current form isn't so great with a home loss to Serbia and they struggled to get a 1-1 draw with DR Congo earlier in the week. Nigeria also and haven't gotten off to a good start in their bid to qualify for next year's Afriican Cup of Nations but that's something to worry about after the World Cup. England are difficult to beat at Wembley and can get a home win in this game and hopefully put on a display to get the English fans excited.
