Eintracht Frankfurt have turned their season around in the past week or so. A midweek win saw them climb to 11th in the table and they will be confident of another victory as they host 15th placed Mainz. Frankfurt had been conceding plenty of goals and losing game after game. A relegation battle was a possibility but a run of seven points from three games has changed all of that. They are now eight points above the relegation play-off place and just seven behind the final Europa League place, though they have played a game more. Wednesday evening saw them get a 3-0 away win at relegation-threatened Werder Bremen. It was still goaless going into the 61st minute but then the deadlock was broken. Stefan Isanker missed the last game through suspension, but he returned and scored twice to secure the 3-0 win, his first goals of the season. It's only the second time since April of last year, that they have won two consecutive league games. Home form hasn't been good of late but they look a much better side now and another win is likely here.

Mainz are battling relegation and only one point above the relegation play-off position. They are struggling for form though with no win in their last five league games. Saturday saw them lose 1-0 at home to Hoffenhem. It could have been worse because their opponents missed a first half penalty. Mainz have only themselves to blame though as they had 18 attempts on goal in that game but only a couple were on target. Their away form has seen only four wins in 14 games and 35 goals conceded. They have no wins in the last three away matches , though the last two have both ended in score draws. Frankfurt are in form again and they can get the win here.
