Villarreal travel to Eibar in the LaLiga.  With three wins from their last four, Villarreal are one of the form teams in La Liga at the moment, and El Submarino Amarillo will be gunning for further success on Matchday 11 when they face off against an Eibar side who have slipped to 16th in the table following back to back defeats. It was a rocky start to the season for Villarreal, who collected just two points from their opening three matches, but Javier Calleja’s side have been a different proposition since, winning five of their last seven to move onto the coattails of the La Liga leaders. A double salvo from Karl Toko-Ekambi spearheaded a bloodless 4-1 victory at home to Alaves at the weekend, enhancing Villarreal’s record at Estadio de la Ceramica this term to three wins and two draws from five outings. El Submarino Amarillo have been in irresistible goal scoring form at home netting 17 times in total – the highest home goals tally in the top flight at present. Villarreal haven’t been quite so impressive on the road where all three of their defeats thus far have been suffered, but a 0-1 triumph against Espanyol at RCDE Stadium two starts ago was a marked improvement. Whilst they have picked up just a single point from their last three trips to face Eibar at Ipurua, Calleja’s side will be confident that they can secure a different outcome this time around. As well as their own form, Eibar’s recent struggles give Villarreal an added reason to be optimistic about scalping all three points and their third away win of the campaign this Thursday. Often so solid at home, Eibar have lost two from four games at Ipurua this season and have been defeated five times in ten matches overall following a 2-0 beating at Valladolid on Saturday. Jose Luis Mendilibar’s side consequently go into this contest on the back of consecutive defeats without scoring after being blown away 0-3 here by Barcelona on Matchday 9, and those results have seen the Basque outfit fall to 16th with only goal difference separating them from the relegation zone. Home victories in late September against Sevilla (3-2) and Celta Vigo (2-0) demonstrate that this Eibar team is still more than capable, however it’s impossible to fancy them for this clash based on how they have performed since the international break.
