Dinamo Minsk finished fourth in the Belarus Premier League last season but have made a poor start to the new term. They are 13th in the table after two losses and host third placed Zhodino who have won two out of two. Minsk had problems before the league season began and have now lost five games in a row. Their league campaign began with a 1-0 defeat by newly promoted Rukh Brest. Another defeat followed as they lost 3-2 in a local derby at FC Minsk. The first half was a disaster as they conceded three goals. Worse followed in the second half as they were reduced to ten men in the 58th minute. Two goals in the 77th and 80th minutes gave them hope of rescuing a point but it was not to be.

Zhodina ended last season with three straight losses and finished in sixth place. They have made a much better start to the new term though with two wins and no goals conceded. Firs up for them was a 1-0 win at Shakhtor courtesy of a 91st minute winner. Another 1-0 victory followed as they beat Belshina 1-0 at home. Away form hasn't been great though with only two wins in the last eight. The home side will hope to get off the mark but the best bet here looks to be to go for both teams to score.
