Denis Shapovalov vs Gael Monfils Prediction & Betting Tips - Paris, France

The Paris Masters has tprovided us with plenty of surprises this week, though we still seem to be heading for a Djokovic v Nadal final. French players have done well with two in the quarter finals. One of those is Gael Monfils who is seeded 13th for this tournament. He's one of only four seeds to make the last eight and he takes on the unseeded Denis Shapovalov. Monfils is in good form at present and a win here would see him in his second successive semi-final. The live ATP tour rankings have him in the top ten after his recent success. So far in Paris, Monfils has beaten Benoit Paire and Radu Albot, so not the most difficult of paths. He had to come from a set down to beat Albot though.

Denis Shapovalov is unseeded and started the week ranked 28th in the world but he's up to 20 in the live rankings. He's had a short match in the first round when Gilles Simon retired injured after just four games. Since then he's had to go to three sets in his two subsequent matches. In the second round he beat the 11th seed Fabio Fognini after losing the first set. Another seed was beaten in the last sixteen as he knocked out the fifth seeded Alexander Zverev, though he managed to win the first set in that encounter. Shapovalov lost in the first round in Vienna last week but before that had won a tournament in Stockholm and reached the semi-finals in Chengdhu. He lost to Monfils at the US Open in a marathon five setter. This looks like being a long game too, go for over 2.5 sets to be played.
