David Goffin has only got past the third round once before at the French Open and that was a quarter-final appearance in 2016. He's seeded eighth for these championships and on clay this year has reached two quarter-finals and a semi-final including a win over Juan Martin del Petro in Rome and a couple of wins against Roberto Bautista Agut. So far in this tournament he had a real struggle in the first round taking five sets to get the better of Robin Hasse. He was two sets down but then won the next three and only lost one game in the last two sets. It was a lot easier for Goffin in the second round as he defeated France's Corentin Moutet in straight sets losing only six games and five of those were in the first set.

After beating one French player, Goffin now takes on Gaels Monfils who has reached three quarter-finals and a semi-final at the French Open. He's slipped down the rankings in the past year and on clay this year he reached the semi-finals in Argentina and a quarter-final in Brazil but hasn't been in good form in the past month. To reach the third round, he's beaten Elliot Benchetrit in four sets after losing the first and then got the better of Martin Klizan in straight sets. This is a much tougher task and the suggested bet is to go for Goffin to reach the fourth round.
