Daniil Medvedev vs Hubert Hurkacz Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Halle Open

World number one Daniil Medvedev is in his second successive grass court final. He takes on fifth seeded Hubert Hurkacz in the final of the Halle Open. He'll be hoping for a better result than last week in the Netherlands when being beaten by the then world number 205 Tim van Rijthoven. Medvedev won the title in Mallorca last year and that was his first grass court final and subsequent title. He won't of course have a chance to win Wimbledon this year but has never made it past the fourth round in that Grand Slam. Medvedev has bounced back well from the surprise loss last Sunday. He's had wins over David Goffin, Ilya Ivashka, seventh seeded Roberto Bautista Agut and unseeded Oscar Otte in the semi-finals. This pair have had four previous meetings and are level at 2-2. One of the wins for Hurkacz was at Wimbledon last year. Medvedev won the next two matches but then Hurkacz beat him in Miami this year. Three of the four matches had over 22.5 games played in them, the other had 22.

Hubert Hurkacz is the world number 12 but likely to be in the top ten seedings at Wimbledon this year. He reached the last four in that Grand Slam event last year, losing to Novak Djokovic. This is only his fifth ATP Tour final and his most notable win was success in the Miami Masters last year. 2022 has seen him reach two semi-finals and two last eights before heading to Halle. His grass court season didn't get off to a good start with a last 16 loss to Marton Fucsovics in Stuttgart last week, It's gone better in Halle this week with victories over Maxime Cressey (in three sets), defending champion Ugo Humbert, fourth seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime (both sets going to tie-breaks) and in the semi-final, Nick Kyrgios. He lost the first set to the Australian but then won the next two on a tie-break. Back over 22.5 games to be played in this match.
