For the fourth game running in the Premier League, Crystal Palace are set to play a London side. They will be hoping for a first win of the season when they host Tottenham Hotspur at Selhurst Park. Palace have so far managed two points and are 14th in the standings, while Spurs top with nine points. Palace’s poor run of form has even seen them eliminated from the League Cup already and they’ve failed to score in three of their opening four matches this season. There were however some good glimpses from Patrick Vieira’s side in the last game as they twice came from behind to draw 2-2 away to West Ham United. The team hasn’t won any of the last five league matches and has conceded two or more goals in four of the five. They’ve lost three and won just once in the last five home league matches.

Tottenham have started the season well and remain the only side with maximum points so far, and they have also not conceded a goal in their opening three league matches. There is a level of calmness at the team after the transfer window ended with Harry Kane declaring he will be staying on. Perhaps they should use him more now, the team having not scored a lot in the opening league games. Each of their three matches has produced one goal. Spurs are also taking part in the Conference League and they secured their slot in the group stages after the qualifiers. They have kept four clean sheets in five matches across all competitions. For this game, they’ll be forced to do without Davinson Sanchez, Gio Lo Celso and Cristian Romero all who are set for quarantine as they return from South America.
