Burnley have gone on a winless run and heading to their away game at Crystal Palace and they’ll hope to start a better run. These two sides are separated by six points; Palace on 29 and in 13th place while Burnley have 23 points, in 17th place. Palace can’t seem to catch a break, after registering two wins, they returned to losing ways, falling 2-0 at the hands of Leeds United. That loss made it four defeats in seven matches for Palace, and they have managed just four wins in their last 16 matches. In their last five matches, they’ve registered just one clean sheet and conceded at least two goals in three of them. The team’s key man, Wilfried Zaha is out with a hamstring injury and they struggled in attack in the loss to Leeds. That game marked the fourth time in seven matches that they failed to score. It is now 17 league defeats in 19 matches without Zaha. Six of their last 10 matches have seen under 2.5 goals scored and they have three wins in the last 10 home matches. In the 11 home matches in the league this season, Palace have conceded two or more in four.

Burnley have a worse run, going to this game without a win in four matches. They have lost three of the four and are eight points above the relegation zone. This match will find them very low after a 2-0 loss to Championship side Bournemouth in the FA Cup. They have scored the least goals in the league (14), but at 29, Burnley have conceded the least among teams in the bottom nine. In four of their last five matches, Burnley have conceded twice in four games. They have conceded nine goals in their last five matches and scored four. At some point things seemed to be going Burnley’s way after three straight wins but have now failed to win any of their last three league games. The biggest handicap for Burnley has been a blunt attack; they have scored two or more in just three of their 22 league matches. The same way though, they haven’t let in a lot. In the 22 matches, they’ve conceded two or more in seven. Their only away goal in in the last five league matches came at Liverpool and seven of their 11 away matches this season have ended without Burnley scoring.
