Crystal Palace take on Burnley on Monday night with the two midtable teams level on points in the Premier League. Palace are tenth in the table and looking to bounce back from a heavy loss against newly-crowned champions Liverpool. Burnley are 11th in the table, behind Palace only on goal difference after a 1-0 win over Watford in midweek. Both teams will be looking over their shoulders at Everton and Newcastle, one and three points behind respectively. Looking up the table, the possibility of a shock push for a Champions League place is still possible, with Manchester United only seven points away, but seems highly unlikely. Palace have only won six of their 15 home fixtures this season but three of those have come in their last six matches at Selhurst park. They have yet to play a home fixture since the restart but will be confident of getting a win against Burnley due to their positive head-to-head record. Palace have won the last four encounters with Burnley, a run which includes two victories on home soil.

Burnley shook off a thumping away to Man City with that win over Watford. The defeat in Manchester was their seventh away loss in 15 Premier League games on the road. They have failed to win four of their last six matches away from home, all occasions on which they failed to find the back of the net. Despite their relative success in respect to their positions in the table, both Palace and Burnley have struggled when it comes to finding goals this season. Both Palace at home and Burnley away average less than one goal per game. Couple that with the fact that five of the last six encounters between these teams has featured fewer than three goals and you have an obvious bet to make. Back the game to finish with under 2.5 goals.
