Coventry and Sunderland will face off in a top-half clash in the Championship at The Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Sky Blues are sixth in the league standings, while the Black Cats are two above them in fourth. Let’s get into the match prediction!

Coventry will be looking for a swift return to winning ways in the Championship after suffering an against-the-odds defeat to relegation candidates Derby County last weekend.

That result halted a five-match win streak for the Sky Blues, a period during which they scored two or more goals in four matches. 

The hosts will return to their home patch this week, where they are currently riding a three-match winning run and have only been beaten once in their last 11 matches.

Meanwhile, Sunderland left it late but managed to find an important goal in the 86th minute to earn a 1-1 draw at home against Preston North End last weekend. 

The Black Cats are now unbeaten in their last three league gams (W2 D1 L0) and have only lost two of their last 11 since the middle of January. 

The visitors have also enjoyed success on the road in recent weeks, winning three of their last four outings, while only losing one of their last five.
