Chelsea and Manchester City face off in the most anticipated FA Cup semi final clash this Saturday at Wembley. Both sides are coming from Champions League action, and successfully negotiated their ways to the semis. Chelsea did lose their game against FC Porto but won the tie on aggregate and here they will be looking to push forward their ambition for a double. Last season Chelsea were losing finalists to Arsenal and after seeing off Sheffield United in the semis, they will be hoping to de better as they go for glory at home and in Europe. Somehow, the Blues have lost their defensive steel, and head to this game with only one clean sheet in the last four matches. With the quality in attack at Manchester City, perhaps manager Thomas Tuchel will have to concentrate on this area but injury to Mateo Kovacic makes it even harder. Playing at a neutral venue should not trouble Chelsea; in their last three matches, they’ve had to play away from home and coped well and as they face their toughest opponent yet in this competition, the Blues should show their true qualities. In their four FA Cup matches this season, Chelsea have conceded just one goal – in the 3-1 win over Luton, they’ve scored 10 though.

Manchester City had to come from behind in the Champions League clash at Borussia Dortmund, to win 2-1 and advance to the semis. They are eyeing four titles this season and the dream is well on course. The focus at the moment is on this game, and after losing in the semis to Arsenal last season, they’ll hope to do things right. They beat Everton 2-0 in the last round and a clash against Chelsea is definitely a step up in difficulty. Just like Chelsea, City have struggled to keep clean sheets lately; they head to this game with none in the last three matches. They’ve however scored two in four of their last five matches, and will be hoping the fine run that has seen them win 28 of the last 30 matches comes to play here. City have scored two or more in their four FA Cup matches this season, totaling 11 goals, while conceding two. Of the four FA Cup matches, they’ve played only one at home and they’ve had a few tricky away matches lately, so playing at a neutral venue shouldn’t be tough.
