Chelsea have gone through a torrid time in recent matches and they will welcome the break from Premier League action as the FA Cup enters fourth round. The Blues are scheduled to host Championship side Luton Town as they look to bounce back from their latest defeat – 2-0 against Leicester City. Calls to have manager Frank Lampard sacked have grown at Chelsea and with five losses and just three wins in 10, this game could offer some comfort. They struggled to beat Fulham before falling to Leicester but have been doing well in the FA Cup, and were losing finalists last season. The loss to Arsenal is their only one in the competition in seven games while they have nine wins, and nine clean sheets in the last 10 at home. In the last round, Chelsea saw off League Two side Morecambe 4-0.

Luton are also coming from a loss, having fallen 1-0 to Brentford, in a game that they also saw Tom Lockyer sent off. It was their second loss in three matches and they slid to 13th in the Championship table. They’ll also be happy to shift focus to the FA Cup, though they face a tougher side than their third round opponent – Reading. Defensively, Luton have been decent, conceding twice in a game in just two of the last 10 matches, but they have just one win in eight away matches. They have failed to score in three of their last five away matches and somehow a poor attack has stuck with them in the FA Cup too. Luton beat Reading 1-0, for their first FA Cup goal in four matches.
