Chelsea vs Liverpool Prediction & Betting Tips - Women's Super League

Defending Women's Super League (WSL) leaders Chelsea host fifth placed Liverpool. This is the first game of the weekend and a win for Chelsea will see them double the three point lead they have after six games of the new season. Chelsea have won five of their six WSL fixtures this season, the other being a 1-1 draw at Manchester City. Since that stalemate they have won four successive WSL fixtures with 15 goals being scored, including nine in the last two. Last weekend saw them go to Everton and win 3-0. Home form has seen them win all three of their WSL games, most recently a 4-2 victory over Brighton. Wednesday saw them begin their Women's Champions League campaign with a 2-2 away draw against Real Madrid. Chelsea led and trailed in that match but conceded a 79th minute penalty to return home with just a point.

Liverpool have 11 points from their first WSL games, five points behind their opponents. If they could win this match they would move up to second in the table. Three of their first six fixtures have been won with only one defeat. That came at home against Everton who are currently in the bottom three. Since that defeat they have drawn at West Ham and beaten Leicester at home. Their most recent league fixture produced another draw, this time at Tottenham coming from behind to grab a 1-1 draw. They also lost 4-3 at home to Manchester City in the FA Women's League Cup after leading 2-1. Away league form has seen them yet to lose with a win and two draws. We believe that unbeaten record will end this weekend and back Chelsea to win and lead at half and full time.
