Chelsea will be looking to go back on top of the league standings when they host Leeds United in the next round of matches. The Blues are third on 33 points while Leeds are 15th with 16 points. The last two matches haven’t been the best for the Blues, what seemed like an impenetrable defence has been breached six times. They have no clean sheet in the last four matches and haven’t really been convincing since their 4-0 win over Juventus. They are coming from a 3-3 draw with Zenit, after a 3-2 loss to West Ham United. After three straight away matches, they will be glad to get back home and this will be the first of two straight home games. They are unbeaten in their last four home league matches but drew the last two and go to the game on just one clean sheet in five league games at home.

Leeds United haven’t had a very good spell themselves; they go to this game with just one win in the last five matches. They drew 2-2 with Brentford in their last game and they had to show great fighting spirit to win. Patrick Bamford, returning from injury got the winner, but unfortunately in the celebrations, he hurt himself. With a tight hamstring, Bamford is expected to miss this game and it adds to Leeds’ woes as Kalvin Philips is also out for the long term. It can’t get tougher for Marcelo Bielsa who is struggling to replicate last season’s run. With just three wins in 10 matches, Leeds will have a tough one against Chelsea, and their away run isn’t better either. In their last six meetings with Chelsea, Leeds have lost four times and are winless in that run.
