Chelsea Women face Everton Women on Sunday with Emma Hayes team seeking to retain their place at the top of the WSL table. The bookmakers certainly feel they will do so with the home side heavy odds on to win the game. Chelsea have won all of their last seven games in all competitions and they have been amongst the goals, racking up an average of three goals per game across those seven matches, conceding just four. Winger Lauren James, sister of Chelsea full back Reece, has been a key player for the team, netting 12 goals in 11 appearances in the WSL. She was also rested for Chelsea's midweek Women's Champions League game with Real Madrid, which the Blues won 2-1 against the Spaniards. That win followed a 3-0 win last weekend at Brighton, where James scored a brace and Fran Kirby added another in yet another comfortable win.

Everton Women lie 9th in the table at present with 11 points from their 12 games, but with just 10 goals scored, no team has found the net fewer times than the Toffees. Since back to back wins against Aston Villa and West Ham, the team has lost its next three WSL fixtures to Manchester City (1-4), Arsenal (1-2) and last week at Leicester City (0-1). The Toffees have a poor record against Chelsea. As well as losing 3-0 at home to Chelsea Women earlier this season, they lost 7-0 away to them at the tail end of last season and the best result they have had over Chelsea in any of the last six games between the teams is a 3-1 defeat at home.
