Chelsea vs CF America Prediction & Betting Tips - Clubs Friendlies

Chelsea will continue their pre-season preparations when they take on Club America at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Wednesday. The Blues are playing their third match ahead of the new season, while the Eagles’ league season is already underway. Here's our prediction for this pre-season showdown. 

Chelsea will head into the 2024-25 Premier League season with renewed hope of returning to the summit of England’s top flight. They have a new manager at the helm in Enzo Maresca and have been busy in the transfer market, bringing in several new and promising faces. 

The Blues finished sixth last term, five points behind the top four, but they did manage to secure a place in Europe, set to compete in the Conference League this season.

So far, the West Londoners have played two friendlies in July, drawing 2-2 with Wrexham in the first game and losing 4-1 to Celtic over the weekend. That followed a run of five consecutive wins at the end of last season. 

Notably, the loss to the Hoops was the only one in Chelsea’s last eight matches where they failed to score two or more goals. 

Club America have already begun their 2024-25 Liga MX season, though it hasn’t been the best start. They are in ninth place after four matches, managing just six points so far. 

The Eagles secured a 2-1 win over Juarez in their last match and have only failed to score in one of their three league games so far this term.
