Chelsea vs Ajax Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League

Two points separate the top three in Champions League Group H. Chelsea went to the top after winning away in Ajax and are ahead of them on head-to-head results with Valencia two points behind. The Blues are in good form with another Premier League win at the weekend. Eight of their last nine games have been won, the other being the home EFL Cup defeat by Manchester United. Despite the win in the Netherlands, this is still a group that could easily go wrong for Chelsea. A loss at home would put them in trouble with the away game to Valencia (who have already beaten Chelsea 1-0) to come. Home form has seen Chelsea fail to win any of their last four Champions League games over the past couple of years. 

Ajax won their first two matches in this group with a couple of 3-0 home and away wins over Lille and Valencia. Then they lost 1-0 at home to Chelsea losing to a goal four minutes from time. They are nine points clear at the top of the Dutch Eredvisie League (a game played more than second placed AZ Alkmaar) and have only lost that game to Chelsea since being knocked out of the Champions League last season at the semi-final stage. Their away form in this competition is superb. Last season saw them win at Real Madrid, Juventus and Tottenham and they have gone unbeaten in 13 Champions League games over the past two years. Only in two of their last 19 away Champions League games have they failed to score. A bet on both teams to score is the one to go for here.
