Chelsea recorded another important WSL win in the weekend prior to this second leg tie. They defeated West Ham 2-0 thanks to goals from Aggie Beever-Jones (2) and Erin Cuthbert (88).  The win keeps them top of the table ahead of Man City on goal difference and sets them up nicely for this second leg tie with Ajax. With a comfortable 3-0 lead from the first leg heading into this game, the Londoners should be very confident of progressing to take on either SK Brann or Barcelona in the semi-finals of the competition in April. Defensively, Chelsea have been outstanding of late, conceding just one goal in their last six games in all competitions. They are not infallible at home in Europe though, as they have won two and drawn one game (against BK Hacken) on their home patch in the Champions League this season. 

Ajax warmed up for the game with Chelsea by holding on to defeat Zwolle 3-2 at the weekend. Romee Leuchter (20,23,48) scored a fantastic hat-trick but late goals from Sterre Kroezen (78) and an own goal from Sherida Spitse (90 og) made it an uncomfortable last few minutes on the pitch. Ajax's dominance in the Dutch league of late is one thing, but they are still four points behind FC Twente in the Eredivisie Women's table. They have struggled away from home in Europe too this season and are yet to win on their travels since the group stage started, picking up just one point on the road so far. Suzanne Bakker's team are up against it in this second leg with a three-goal deficit to make up.
