The home team are in third place with 23 points in the Eastern Conference while the visitors are in fourth position with 24 points in the Western Conference. Montreal have only lost twice in their last 13 matches across all competitions with eight wins and three draws. They are just three points behind the leaders New York City but they have played an extra match which makes this match all the more crucial. Montreal have been scoring goals for fun this season and top the goals tally in the league but they also have the worst defensive record in the league. They have been conceding almost two goals per match which is too high if they want to win their Conference.
