Celtic vs Rosenborg Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League

Both these sides have six more games to play if they want to take part in the group stages of this season's Champions League. Celtic had a straightforward 6-0 win in their first qualifying round win over Alashkert with two 3-0 victories. They should have got more in the home second leg though as all three goals were scored in the first half. Now they face a tougher battle as they face Rosenborg who they also met last season. It was a bit of a struggle last season with them being held to a goalless draw at home in the first leg before winning 1-0 away, one of their rare away wins in the Champions League. Celtic are in good form at present with 17 goals in their last four games. The win over Alashkert ended a run of three straight home losses in the Champions League but Rosenborg aren't quite in the same bracket as Bayern Munich and PSG. 

Rosenborg will just be glad they are still in the tournament as they go into this game. They took on Icelandic side Valur in the first qualifying round but lost the first leg away 1-0. They were looking home and hosed when leading 2-0 with five minutes to go but then the Icelandic side pulled a goal back to put them ahead on away goals. It took a 94th minute penalty by Niklas Bendtner to get them through on a 3-2 aggregate. Rosenborg face a battle to be in the Champions League next season, they're currently second in the Norwegian league, two points behind league leaders Brann. They have gone eight away games in the Champions League without a win and their last victory was eight years ago. Go for Celtic to get the win in the first leg of this tie.
