Celtic vs Leipzig Prediction & Betting Tips - Europa League

Celtic began this Europa League group with a home win over Rosenborg but have followed that victory with away losses at Red Bull and Leipzig. Two of their remaining three games are at home and they probably need to win both if they are to qualify for the last 32. They lost to Leipzig 2-0 and start this game in third place in the group, three points behind their German opponents. A loss to them here means they won't be able to finish above them in the group. It's been a mixed season so far for Celtic after their Champions League exit to AEK Athens and a poor start the defence of their Scottish Premiership title. Recent weeks have seen a return to form though with five wins out of six with 23 goals scored. They are now second in the Scottish Championship, a point behind leaders Hearts (who they beat 5-0 at home at the weekend) with a game in hand. Home form has seen them win ten of their last 11 home games and they are undefeated at home in European competition this season with five wins and a draw with only two goals conceded.

Leipzig are second in this group, three points behind Red Bull and three ahead of Celtic. They kicked off the group with a 3-2 home loss to Red Bull, trailing 2-0 but getting it back to 2-2 before conceding a late winner. They got back on track with a 3-1 win at Rosenborg before beating Celtic 2-0 at home. Leipzig are undefeated in ten games since that defeat by Red Bull and are currently fourth in the Bundesliga. Away form in the Europa League isn't that impressive with the win at Rosenborg ending a five-game run without a win and only four of their last ten away games in all competitions have been won. Celtic have returned to form and know they need to win this game to maintain their qualification hopes and can get the win here.
