Cardiff vs Fulham Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

These two sides are both trying to return to the Premier League after being relegated last season. Cardiff City ended the season in fifth place, eight points behind their opponents, fourth-placed Fulham. Cardiff looked as if they might miss out on a top six finish after losing two games in a row. They fought back well though with each of their last three matches in the Championship being won. Eight goals were scored in those games, though two were against struggling Middlesbrough and Hull City, who ended up bottom of the table. Cardiff have only lost one of their last six home league games, a 3-2 defeat by Blackburn. Cardiff drew 16 of their league games and nine of those came at home. Seven of their last 13 home fixtures ended level. They drew 1-1 at home to Fulham in the league but lost 2-0 away to them earlier this month.

Fulham had a great chance to win automatic promotion but like their opponents drew too many league games. 12 ended level, but ten of those were on their travels. Two of their final three league fixtures ended all-square, if they'd both been won they would have spent the last few days celebrating their return to the Premier League. They are a much stronger side at home, so getting at least a draw from this first leg would make them strong favourites to reach the final. Five of their last eight away league games were drawn, four of the last five being 1-1, the same score as when they last played at Cardiff. A draw with both teams to score looks a great bet to make here.
