Athletico Paranaense host Atletico Goianense at the Arena da Baixada for the eighteenth round of the Brazilian Serie A. The hosts are in a good groove at the moment, and sit fourth yet just two points from leaders Palmeiras, who have played a game less. They have won six of their last nine, losing just once in their last seventeen across all competitions. When it comes to their home form, Paranaense are unbeaten across their last twelve, winning three of their last four. However, they tend to concede with relative ease in front of their own fans, having done so in seven of their last eight. Paranaense are also unbeaten in all of their past home meetings with Goianense, winning five of their six games and conceding in all of them. 

Atletico Goianense are not experiencing their most exciting of days. Just two wins in their last eight have left them eighteenth in the league, yet are still in the running for the Copa Sudamericana, being pitted against Nacional for the next stage of the competition. Besides two wins against Goias and Fluminense, Goianense have not won in normal time in their last eleven away fixtures, conceding in ten of them. While they tend to score away at the Arena Baixada, they have never beaten Paranaense there, so it will surely be a tough task.
