The last four matches have been a smooth ride for Tottenham Hotspur; they have picked straight wins, scoring nine goals and managing two clean sheets in the process. All the four were staged at home and after their most recent one, a convincing win over German giants Borussia Dortmund, they will be keen to see off Burnley and remain right in the fight for the title. They are not favorites to win the title but a win will propel them to within two points of the league leaders, Manchester City. They come face to face with a plucky Burnley side that can really frustrate bigger teams, and are straight from a win over Brighton & Hove Albion, their only one in the last five outings. Burnley have picked five wins and just one loss in the last nine matches. Their last match against a top three side, Manchester City, ended in a 5 – 0 beating and they will be hoping to avoid a repeat here. The hosts know too well they will be the underdogs in this clash, as they have no win over Spurs in their last nine meetings with Spurs winning six of those. Tottenham are winless in their last two away matches while Burnley have picked three wins and a draw in the last four home matches and will be keen to stretch that run further.
