Burnley start the weekend in 15th place but are only a point above the relegation zone. With this game being played on Monday evening, they could be in the bottom three come the start of this match. They have been extremely inconsistent this season and were bottom of the table at one stage. They recovered with two wins out of three but have been struggling again of late with just two points from their last five league games. There have been some heavy defeats of late with Manchester City, Chelsea and West Ham United putting 13 goals past them. Form at Turf Moor has seen them earn just one league win this season. That was a 4-0 win over Bournemouth but their other four games have seen them score just twice. Only three of their last 15 home league games have ended in victory for Burnley.

It's been a difficult season for Newcastle United but recent weeks have seen improvement. They probably didn't want the international break to happen because the three league games leading up to that time off had seen them earn seven points. That's taken them from the bottom of the table to 14th above their opponents on goal difference. Both those wins came at home and away form has to be improved as they have only three points from five games. Only two have been lost though and they should have won at Cardiff but for a missed penalty in the dying moments of the game. They have only scored three away goals but only conceded five and only Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea have conceded less. Not an easy game to predict but a double chance bet on Newcastle looks to be one that can be a winner.
