Burnley start the weekend in eighth place only three points short of the top four. Whereas last season they depended on their home form to keep them alive, it's the opposite this season. Four home league games have only produced five points. Goals have been in short supply with two scored and two conceded in those four matches. It's not a recent problem either with Burnley having only scored more than once in their last 12 home league games and in two of their last 11 on the road. They have only won one of their last seven home league games and scored only eight goals in their last 12 home league games. Newcastle are in seventh place in the table and only one defeat in their last seven league matches. Away form has seen them win just once with a draw and two defeats. Just the three away goals scored and only four conceded, Only in the 2-2 draw at Southampton have they scored more than once in an away league game this season. Both sides have had a good start to the season but goals are a bit on the short side so a bet on under 2.5 goals looks the one to go for.
