Burnley aim to get the better of Fulham when they welcome the Cottagers to Turf Moor for a Premier League clash on Sunday. The two clubs are currently scrapping near the bottom of the table, with Burnley in 16th place on 16 points and Fulham 18th on 11 points. Burnley head into this contest on the back of a 1-0 home win over Sheffield United. It was the Clarets' fourth match unbeaten at home in the league, three of which have been victories. Living up to their reputation as one of the top flight's scrappiest sides, Burnley have recently participated in several low-scoring contests; Five of their last six Premier League fixtures have featured fewer than three goals. However, the number of goals in a Burnley game goes up when they play Fulham. The goals per game average of their last five meetings is 4.2 per match. 

Fulham were supposed to have a midweek fixture, but their game at Spurs was postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak among their squad. How many vital players, if any, this has affected has yet to be divulged. It would be a shame if this outbreak caused significant disruption to Fulham's objective of staying up as they had looked solid in recent weeks. Scott Parker's team had drawn their last four Premier League games - one of which was against Liverpool - in contests featuring fewer than three goals. Leakiness at the back has been plugged up.
