Burnley, just like Everton, had their game postponed in the last round, and the two will be back in action this weekend, facing off at Turf Moor. For both teams it hasn’t been great in the season so far; Burnley have 11 points, in 18th place while Everton are 14th with 19 points. Burnley are coming from a winless run of five straight games and they’ve failed to score in each of the last three. They have two clean sheets in the last five but it is their attack that has posed them the biggest problems this season. They have scored 14 goals so far in the league, a tally only better than bottom placed Norwich’s. A result of low scoring matches, four of their last five outings have produced under 2.5 goals, the team having scored four goals in the last five games.

Everton have three losses in the last five matches, and just like Burnley, they head into this game having managed one win in the last 11 games. They have also had issues in attack with their main man upfront, Dominic Calvert Lewin out injured, though their scoring run has some consistency. In the last four matches, they managed to score but only once in the last 10 matches have they managed more than a goal. Their only win in the last 10 matches was against Arsenal, a 2-1 victory at home and they’ve failed to score in four of the last 10 games. Away from home, Everton are struggling; going into this game, they have no win in the last eight across all competitions.
