Survival is not yet assured for Burnley who will be hosting Arsenal in their next Premier League encounter, at Turf Moor. Burnley are just six points above the relegation zone, with 29 points and in 15th place. Arsenal on the other hand, are on 37 points, in 10th place. In their last game, Burnley made a big recovery from the 4-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur by drawing 1-1 with Leicester City. The early goal by Matej Vydra was Burnley’s second in four matches; they’ve failed to score in two of the last three matches and remain the second lowest scorers in the league. While a compact defence has been among their key qualities, their performance against Tottenham left a lot of questions and they have just two clean sheets in the last 10 matches. Burnley have conceded two or more goals in five of their last 10 matches and go here winless in the last four league matches. In 14 home league matches, Burnley have managed just four wins, and none of these have come in the last five. They were explosive against Leicester City in the 3-1 win, that being the third time in five matches that they’ve scored three or more. Arsenal have only failed to score in one of the last five matches. They’ve lost three of their last five league matches but have seven wins in the last 13 and scored in 10 of the 13. Six of Arsenal’s last 10 matches have produced over 2.5 goals and they’ve also improved on their winning rate away from home, having registered four in the last six in the league. Their last five away league games, have yielded over 2.5 goals in four and in the 13 away league games this season, they have six wins – one more than their home wins. Emile Smith Rowe is ruled out of this game with a groin injury but Arsenal should cope well, having rested key players in the win over Leicester.
