Bristol City currently occupy the final promotion play-off position in the Championship. They are sixth in the table but the Robins will drop out of the top six if they lose at home to eighth-placed West Bromwich Albion. Here's our match prediction.

City are only three points ahead of West Brom and have an inferior goal difference. They lead seventh-placed Coventry City by just a point so they really need to win this match. The weekend saw them get a 2-1 home victory over Watford to continue their excellent form at Ashton Gate.

Eight of their last ten home league games have been won. Their only loss in their last nine Championship fixtures was away at current league leaders Burnley. 11 home games have been won by City this season with only three losses.

West Bromwich Albion would be in the top six but for their away record. The Throstles have only won four out of 20 away league fixtures and none of the last 12. Just one of the last 17 have been won.

Albion have drawn 18 league matches this season. That's a frustrating statistic when you are only three points behind the play-off positions. The weekend saw them lose 1-0 at home to Sunderland.
