Bristol City vs Watford Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Bristol City made it three league wins in a row on Saturday. Their latest victory took them to third in the Championship and now host Watford who are a point and two places below them. City have 23 points from their 12 league matches and are only a point behind leaders Norwich City. They are in top form at present with wins over Huddersfield Town, Cardiff City and Derby County. It's a return to form after failing to win any of their past five league fixtures. City will have been glad of the home win on Saturday against struggling Derby County. That ended a run of just a point from the last three. Home form has been a problem this year with seven league games ending in defeat and only six won. Six home games in the Championship this season have only seen City score seven times but with only six conceded. Only twice in their last eight at Ashton Gate, have they managed to score twice in a game. Six of their last eight home league games have had under 2.5 goals scored, another one looks on the way.

Watford are unbeaten in their last three league games but gave away  lead at QPR on Saturday after being in front for 70 minutes. Before that, the Hornets had beaten Stoke City and Coventry City at home, both by a 3-2 scoreline. They may have scored six goals in those two matches but Watford have only managed nine in the other ten played. Watford are only two points behind league leaders Norwich City and would have topped the table if holding onto that lead at Loftus Road. Their away form this season isn't that great, in fact the 16th best in the Championship. Just one win on the road (at Derby), three draws and two losses. Those six away league games have seen Watford score three times but only concede four. All have had under 2.5 goals scored in them, four having under 1.5. Go for under 2.5 goals to be scored in this match.
