Bristol City and Preston North End are set to clash in the final round of matches in the Championship. Both sides would really do with three points; hosts Bristol being in fifth and Preston in 20th spot. Read on for our prediction.

Having garnered 67 points, Bristol are well poised for a place in the playoffs but might need a win to be sure. They are just one point ahead of the seventh-placed team, Millwall.

Their recent fixtures have, however, failed to yield the desired results. The latest of them was a 4-0 defeat at Leeds United, having earlier lost 3-1 to Luton Town. Returning home will definitely be welcome.

Preston have much more to play for. They sit just one point above the relegation zone ahead of the final round. Only a win will guarantee them staying in the Championship, yet their previous seven league matches haven't offered any of that.
