Brighton and Hove Albion host Fulham in a vital relegation match in the Premier League. The home side are 17th, a place and five points above their opponents, but from a game more. Brighton won at the weekend, beating League One Blackpool 2-1 at home in the FA Cup. This game against Fulham resembles a cup tie as it's a game neither side wants to lose. A win for Brighton would take them eight points clear of Fulham. However, a defeat would narrow the gap to just two points with Fulham having that game in hand. The Seagulls have won their last two games having won at Leeds in the Premier League the previous week. Now they have two home league games this week, with this match followed by the visit of Tottenham. Their home form is a major worry with no wins in the last 14 Premier League games. Only in the two domestic cup competitions have they won at the Amex this season. They've been getting close though and Brighton have only lost two of the last seven home league fixtures, including a draw with Liverpool. They should have beaten Manchester United earlier in the season but lost 3-2 after leading 2-0.

Fulham didn't have such a good weekend and lost 3-0 at home to Burnley in the FA Cup. Their only win in the last nine games played was the 2-0 win at Championship side QPR in the FA Cup and that went to extra time. League form hasn't been good all season and a second relegation from the Premier League in three seasons is looking likely. This week doesn't just see them playing Brighton but also the side right below them, West Bromwich Albion. Two losses this week could put a few nails into their coffin. They have gone eight league games without a win, five of them ending in draws. Away form earn just six points from eight games. The only win was a surprise victory at Leicester City back in November. Fulham have never had much luck in Premier League away games with only three wins in 37 games going back to 2013. Scoring goals is a big problem for them with only three in the last six league games and one of those was scored by the other side. Six of their last seven away league games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. A bet on that stat coming up is the recommended wager.
