Brighton and Hove Albion made  a steady start to their first season in the Premier League but the past couple of months have seen them struggle. Albion have just one win in their last 12 league games and they start the weekend just three points above the bottom three. This is the first game of the Premier League weekend and a win for the home side will take them to 11th in the table. They are struggling for goals though scoring in just two of their last eight league matches. From the start of the season it was felt that Brighton needed strong home form if they want to stay in the league, that's not working at present with only one win in their last eight home league games and only two of those have b been against sides currently in the top seven. Chelsea beat Brighton 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day and that's seven straight wins against the Seagulls with only one goal conceded. The Blues are fourth in the table but a win here will take them above Liverpool in third and level on points with second place Manchester United. They are on an unbeaten run of 11 league and cup games but goals have been hard to find in recent weeks. Away form has seen Chelsea lose just one of their last seven away league games. They have the strength in depth to get an away here so back Chelsea to get the win and plunge Brighton into even more trouble.
