Brighton vs Arsenal Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Arsenal ended a poor run with a 3-1 home defeat of Chelsea on Boxing Day. They look to make it two wins in a row when traveling to 16th placed Brighton and Hove Albion. The Gunners had gone seven league games without a win before finally returning to form, perhaps there was something in their Christmas Pudding. They are now six points above the relegation zone and have two away games at struggling Brighton and West Brom. At least four points from these two games might end talk of them being in a relegation battle.  A couple of bad results though and it's back to square one. Arsenal have won two of their seven away Premier League games this season. Those wins came against Fulham and Manchester United but they have only scored six away league goals this season. Half of those came in the early season 3-0 win at Fulham. Only two goals have been scored in their last five away Premier League fixtures and both of those were penalties. Arsenal have conceded eight goals in their seven away league matches but trips to the two Manchester clubs and Leeds United saw them only concede once. Four of their last five away league games have seen under 2.5 goals scored in them.

Brighton and Hove Albion drew 2-2 at West Ham United on Boxing Day. All points are gratefully received but the Seagulls led twice in that game, so would have been disappointed at returning to the south coast with just a point.  They are 16th in the table and just two points above the bottom three. That draw made it six league games without a win, though four have been drawn. Home form has rescued Brighton in previous relegation struggles but they go into this game still looking for a first home win of the season. Four of the last five at home have been drawn with a few missed oportunities. They've played West Brom, Burnley and Sheffield United who are all below them in the table and drew all of them. Then there was the 2-0 lead over Manchester United that turned into a 3-2 defeat. Now they have two home games against Arsenal and Wolves, can Potter magic up a home win? Four of their last five at home have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. A bet on that market is the suggested wager for this game.
