It was looking good for Leeds United on Friday as Wigan conceded a first-half penalty and had a player sent off. Then Leeds went and misssed the penalty! They did take the lead soon after but still managed to lose to the team who'd only won one away league game all season by two goals to one. The loss meant Leeds are third in the table and behind Sheffield United who occupy the second automatic promotion place. Leeds only trail on goal difference and now travel to Brentford looking for three vital points. United have won three of their last four away league games, the other being a 1-0 loss to Birmingham City. They kept a clean sheet in each of those three wins.

Brentford are 15th in the Championship without a chance of being promoted or relegated, so not much to play for in the final weeks of the season. They come into this game having won just one of their last eight league games. That was a home win over relegated Ipswich Town. However, four of their last six games have been played away from home where they don't have great form. It's better at home with only the top three teams in the league having earned more points. Form has dipped a little bit of late though with only one win in their last three and failing to beat promotion candidates West Brom and Derby. Leeds can get the win here.
