Brentford will be looking to build on their win over Norwich City when they play host to struggling Burnley in their next Premier League game. The two sides haven’t had the best of runs in the season and going into this game they are both below the 30-point mark. Hosts Brentford are 15th with 27 points, six ahead of Burnley who are 18th with two games in hand. The fact that Burnley have played lesser games makes this game very key for Brentford; they aren’t safe, despite holding a six point gap on their visitors. It hasn't been great for Brentford, the last few matches ahead of this; the 3-1 win over bottom side Norwich was their first victory in 10 games. They’ve lost eight of these 10 matches and in the Premier League, from a possible 30 points in the last 10 games, they’ve managed just seven points. Brentford have shown a clear bluntness in attack this season, and ahead of this game, three of their last five matches have produced under 2.5 goals, while Brentford have failed to score in three of the five matches.

Burnley claimed a 3-1 win over Brentford in the first meeting this season. They will want a repeat of that but they aren’t in the best shape going into this game. The Clarets are coming from a 4-0 loss to Chelsea, their second straight game without scoring and third straight winless outing. With one point, they’ll be able to climb off the relegation zone but they will have to improve on their performances, especially in attack.
