Manchester City are third in the Premier League after taking four points from their first two games of the season. They began with a 5-0 win at West Ham United but were then held to a 2-2 draw at home by Tottenham. It looked as if they had scored a late winner but VAR decided otherwise. They won't want to be dropping any points from this game, especially with Liverpool already leading them by two points. City are unbeaten in their last 16 league games winning 15 in a row before that draw last weekend. Away form has seen them eight in a row, scoring at least twice in six of them. They have an impressive record against Bournemouth with eight wins out of eight since Bournemouth were promoted to the Premier League. City have won those games by an aggregate score of 25-3.

Bournemouth made a good start to the season last year and have done so again this time. They haven't had the toughest of opposition though with both of their games being against promoted sides. Bournemouth were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Sheffield United. They got their first win of the season with a 2-1 win at Aston Villa. Both of their goals in that game came in the first 12 minutes. Only one of their last seven home league games have been won. That will become one in eight this weekend, go for City to win and be leading at both half and full time.
