Improving Bournemouth are up to 16th in the Premier League. They look to get a third straight league win when hosting fourth placed Aston Villa. The Cherries start the weekend seven points above the relegation zone after a run of three wins in four league fixtures. They failed to win any of their first nine league games of the new season before getting a home win over Burnley. A 6-1 hammering at Manchester City followed but since then they've returned to winning ways. An impressive home win over Newcastle came next and last weekend saw them win their first away league game of the season. Bournemouth won 3-1 at Sheffield United ending a run of seven away league games without a win. Home form for Bournemouth has produced eight points from seven games with the last two both being won. Both teams have scored in two of their last three home league fixtures at the Vitality Stadium.

Aston Villa have had a good week both domestically and in Europe. A 2-1 win at Tottenham last weekend took them into fourth place in the Premier League. Thursday saw them beat Legia Warsaw to qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa Conference League. The Villans begin the weekend only two points behind the league leaders Arsenal. It's their home form that has taken them so high in the Premier League table. The Lions have won all of their six home league games but only won three on the road with the same number lost.
