Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iceland will begin their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign against each other when they lockhorns on Thursday at the Bilino Polje Stadium in Bosnia. The two nations have been placed in Group J of the qualifiers and this will be the first ever match between them. Bosnia have never qualified for the Euros and will hope that changes with next year’s tournament. Faruk Hadzibegic’s men had a successful 2022 in which they secured their way back to the top league for next season’s Nations League campaign and will hope to ride that momentum here. They lost just once in six matches with their attack that scored at least once in every single game, key to their success. All-time record goal scorer Edin Dzeko has been included in the squad and will again be looked upon to provide the goals.

Iceland missed out on promotion to League A of next year’s Nations League by finishing second in their group. They struggled all through the tournament and failed to secure a single win in four matches played. They will hope to change this here as they plot to make a return back to the continental tournament. Despite their inability to win matches, Iceland made it difficult for teams to beat them and drew all four of their games in their Nations League group.
